Interested in finding out more about the street YOU live in?. On Friday 28th June there will be a meeting
from 10 am - 12pm in the Sunderland Suite of the Pater Hall to show simple ways in which you could
start a small "project" based on the street you live in or the club you attend.
The objective is get as many different groups as possible recording on paper, in photos, in sound or film
bites life in their area. This could include:
•
who is living in the street or attending the club.
•
any tales they have to tell of what the are used to be like.
•
what changes have affected the area - new buildings; the closing of a shop or pub
•
history of the area
sense of community - photos of past parties and celebrations.
A second objective is to get people talking to each other and engendering a feeling of community which
is often pushed to one side in our busy lives. So come along and bring a friend or neighbour. All you need
is an open mind!
Tea , coffee and biscuits will be served to get our collective brains working! If you would like to be
involved but are unable to make the meeting then please contact Linzi James at
